In 1919, the shrines Takaoka and Sekino were amalgamated into a single shrine called Takaoka Sekino Shrine. It is more familiarly known as “Takanomiya.” The Mikurumayama Festival takes place at the Sekino Shrine. The 10 towns that maintain the Mikurumayama floats are situated on Yamacho-suji street. Six towns that are not on Yamacho-suji street are the location of the Horo Festival.
