Gokurakuji Temple, Bakuro

Munenaga-shinno, the eighth son of the emperor, Godaigo, fought in numerous battles at various proviences. While he was staying in Etchu, it is said that to commemorate the second anniversary of his father's death he had the Gokurakuji temple built. There is a legend that in the past this temple had been situated in the Makino district.
