Imizu Shimomura Minzoku Shiryokan, Imizu-shi

A rice granary, believed constructed in the early Meiji era and owned by Tachi Tetsuji, former governor of the prefecture and member of the House of Councilors, was moved and rebuilt here as a museum. It is a rare, valuable building made of kusamaki cypress. The interior is packed with an exhibition of farming implements for rice growing and household necessities of the period.
