On the banks of the Asano River, which flows from the base of Mt. Utatsu, stands a row of ancient buildings built as teahouses and steeped in historical ambience. This spot became known throughout Japan as the setting of the book "Toki no Haka" by Itsuki Hiroyuki, published in 1982.
