Maeda Toshitsune, third feudal lord of the Kaga clan, established this tomb to rest the soul of Maeda Toshinaga, his elder brother and predecessor. The lotus flower design on the foundations is said to be based on a sketch by Kano Tanyu. Located at the far end of Hatcho Street, this is one of the biggest tombs of military commanders in Japan.
