Takaoka Lacquerware ─ Traditional Techniques and Works

Kaya Hosui, a noted lacquerware artisan practicing the so-called Yusuke-nuri technique of applying lacquer, lived in the Jozuka district. The product of his skills can be seen on numerous works of note.
