None of the buildings of Takaoka Castle remain today. Their forms are also unknown, as we have neither drafts nor records. However, if one speculates based on the remaining ruins, the castle may be thought to have been a large one surpassing in size even Kanazawa Castle. Takaoka Castle was built in 1609, but work had not yet been completed when its residents moved in.
