The Shiozaki family worked as copperware wholesalers. The main building was constructed in 1909. As part of a 1934 city planning operation, the left side of the residence's front wall was removed and reworked into a Western design. With the right side in the traditional storehouse style and the left as Western architecture, it is a structure that combines two different architectural styles.
