There is a place called Kanjoji in Shibano. A temple named Kanjoji was there about 430 years ago, where legend says large and small gold coins were buried. One day, when a man named Kurobe was looking for the treasure, he heard a voice calling "Hey, Kurobe" from nowhere. When he looked, a huge serpent emerged, lightning flashed and thunder roared.
