Long ago Zenkoji Temple was located in the present day city of Oyabe. One day the alarm was spread in the area that an army from Kibune Castle would soon attack. A strong man who had long protected the temple is said to have picked it up, loaded it on the back of a horse, forded the raging waters of the Shogawa River, and finally delivered his load safely to Nakada.
