The Great Sacred Cedar Trees, Moriyama

Two enormous Japanese cedars (cryptomeria) stand in the forest at Nishi Ebizaka, revered as sacred trees. The circumference of the trunk of the tree standing in the foreground to the left measures 6.9 meters, while that of the tree to the rear and right measures 5.9 meters. Enormous branches stretch out in all four directions on the upper parts of the trees starting from 6 meters up.
