Ozaki Koko was a famous haiku poet of Etchu who lived in the middle of the Edo era. He was also known as "Etchu Trio" along with Kawase Chiju and Tanaka Kitei. The Haikai Hyaku Isshuis interesting as it is seen in picture cards like Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. Commonly known as Yugaozuka, there is a tablet inscribed with Ozaki haiku in the Daigenji Temple in Toide.
