Bon Dancing, Yokota

Everybody looked forward to festivals and Bon dancing.
In olden days, the Bon festival dance was a grand summer event of each village. After about two hours of dancing, the festival reaches its climax at around 11 o'clock in the evening. Good dancers were awarded with shirts, towels and other prizes. Festivals and Bon dancing were the greatest entertainment for villagers.
