Born in Kanazawa. Although he worked as a company employee, he devoted himself to writing haiku poetry and painting haiku drawings. He was a pioneer of modern haiku in Takaoka, and also served as contributions selsector of the ""Takaoka Shinpo Haidan."" The poet Ikadai Kaichi was Takenokado's eldest son, and monuments inscribed with the poems of father and son stand close to each other in Takaoka Kojo Park.
