In June every year, while over 120,000 irises of 212 kinds bloom in their full glory at the iris garden in Oyabe River Park, an outdoor tea ceremony, hot-air balloon riding, hand catching of goldfish and various other events take place. Irises are displayed and sold, and a session to take iris photographs is also held.
