Yansanma Festival, Imizu-shi

The annual spring festival of Kamo Shrine is commonly called "Yansanma Festival of Shimo-mura." No one knows the origin of the festival, but it probably began with the foundation of the shrine, as a similar event of archery on horseback is held at Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto.
