This historical fiction traces the history of the prospering of the Kaga clan brought about by its lord, Maeda Toshinaga. One part of the story deals with the construction of Takaoka Castle under the direction of Takayama Ukon. Toshinaga moved into the castle on the 13th day of the 9th month of 1609 before construction had been completed.
