Due to the business failure and illness of his father, protagonist Mizushima Tatsuo comes to Takaoka to seek the help of a person who had been a friend of his father when they were 3rd year students at middle school. The friend unexpectedly accepts his request for assistance with warmth and Tatsuo's eyes are filled with tears. The commercial district of Moriyama-machi is depicted in this work.
