Shogawa Salmon Festival
Shogawa Salmon Festival
Shogawa is famed for its salmon that swim upstream in the autumn. Downstream from the Takaoka Bridge, fish weirs are set up to catch the salmon. Up to the end of November people may enjoy catching and eating salmon at the fishing site as part of the festival.

Dates: November 1 to 30
Location: Left bank of Shogawa River, Ishize, Takaoka
Access: JR Etchu Daimon Station, 10 min. walk
