This festival has been held on the third Saturday and Sunday of May since 1979. It has become known throughout the prefecture and beyond as the big annual event of Daimon. Participants flying kites include parents with children, children's clubs, and representatives of local government and corporations. The wind is brisk on the banks of the Shogawa River, and the sky is filled with color as the kites ascend.
