There lived in Ichibanshin-machi a hard-working man named Rokube. One evening, as he was walking on a pathway that passed Choganji Temple in Kataharayoko-machi, an old man appeared before him. "You are a well-intentioned young man. You will surely be happy in this life," he said, and then disappeared. From that time on, the slope where this occurred became known as Kagenashi-zaka.
