The burial mounds are located on a flat hill 20 to 30 meters above sea level overlooking the Toyama Bay. The two keyhole-shaped mounds were designated a national historical site in 1934. The No. 1 mound is shaped like a mirror with a handle, and the No. 2 mound like a scallop.
