Once, a man named Sakujiro made a rice paddy by scraping away part of the outer edges of the Mound Mirokuzuka. He eventually tried to destroy Mirokuzuka and turn the entire area into his rice field, but when he struck the ground with a hoe, a huge serpent emerged from inside by destroying Mirokuzuka and chased him. Sakujiro ran to his home, became ill and died.
