Kusagame, Reeve's Turtle, Chinemys reevesii (Emydidae)
One of the most popular turtles in Japan. In the young, the border lines on the carapace and plastron are a vivid yellow, for which is it known in China as the Golden turtle. When it ages, the turtle becomes entirely black.
