Animals of Mt. Futagami: Birds, Takaoka Area

Yamagara,Varied Tit, Parus varius (Paridae)
This species is found only in Japan, the Korean peninsula, and Taiwan. It is widely distributed throughout Japan. It inhabits broad-leaved evergreen forests that have many tall trees, living in the upper heights of the forest. Its back and belly are a distinctive reddish brown, making it easy to spot.
