Mukudori, Gray starling, Sturnus cineraceus (Sturnidae)Breeds throughout Japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu. Most of those starlings living in areas with large amounts of snowfall migrate south to warm areas for the winter. They live in flatland and basin areas close to human habitation, and can sometimes be seen between the gaps in the roofs or door frames of houses.
