Yurikamome, Black-headed Gull, Larus ridibundus (Laridae) The black-headed gull breeds on the Eurasian continent and migrates south to winter primarily on Honshu and southward. In the winter, flocks of several dozen gulls can be seen along coasts, at harbors, and at river mouths. In winter its beak and legs are red, and its body is pale gray with black on the tips of its primary wing feathers.
